Yoon Sangyoon

Yoon Sangyoon mainly focused on revealing the relationship between hierarchies, groups, and communication and power between people. The images operate like a theater stage, placing people in various conditions. It recomposes the various forms and degree of relationship between people the artist went through in his personal and social experience in a fantastic atmosphere. It has been mainly produced as a series of works in which the private and public worlds are strangely fused, reflecting the image of an era in which events and stories return to the realm of contemporary art. Members of the art community formed around the artist appear on the screen as if they were assigned a certain role. It is not a story that proceeds in a single linear composition. Rather, it has an ambiguous or metaphorical story composition that can be interpreted in any direction. However, what is clear is that the characters and events have returned to the main subjects of contemporary art painting. A narrative interwoven with a surreal landscape that is meticulously organized unfolds.
